How It All Began.....
We began as a joke and have been laughing ever since. Doing small gigs at school and a few parties, we finally convinced ourselves that some of the people we entertained began laughing with us, not at us. Thus the seed was planted. Initially, we had one guitar, a percussionist, and three "singers." The group consisted of an English teacher, two social studies teachers, and the English teacher's son, named Brady. It was the mid 80's and we had the perfect group name, Three Men and a Brady. Since those early days, we decided to eliminate the percussion, much to Brady's chagrin, add two more vocalists, two guitars, a banjo, a bass, and a mandolin. Currently, the group consists of the retired English teacher, Chris; four social studies teachers, Howard (also retired), Pat, Brian, and Chris 2; and a semi-retired helicoptor pilot, Ryan. Now you have it, CHRIS & THE SOCIAL STUDS.
